Installing the Chrome Browser Extension

The Chrome Browser Extension is the tool to allow you to surf the internet safely, by connecting to the provider services subscribed through your Lethean Wallet.

You have two different options to install the Extension, either through the Compiled Extension available in Chrome Webstore, or through the source available at Lethean's public repository.

From Compiled Extension

Go to the Chrome Webstore and click "Add to Chrome" to install the latest version of the extension: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/lethean-proxyvpn-extensio/aigmfoeogfnljhnofglledbhhfegannp

You will see a confirmation popup, click "Add Extension" to have the extension added to your Chrome Browser:

To start navigating using the proxy, you will need to click the Extension icon, and then click on "Click to Connect":

You are now accessing the internet using a secure proxy service provider!

From Source

Clone or download the source of the extension from the Official repository here: https://github.com/LetheanMovement/lethean-browser-extension

Or download the latest release (3.0.0.b2) directly from lethean.io.

If you download the ZIP version, extract the ZIP file to a known location. If you cloned the directory, you should already have the contents of the extension uncompressed.

Open up chrome browser, click the Options (three dots) at the right of the browser window, then go to "More Tools" and "Extensions".

In the "Extensions" tab that is opened, enable the "Developer Mode" at the top right hand side of the window:

After enabling the developer mode, click on "Load Unpacked" at the top left side of the window:

Now select the folder where you cloned the repository to, or where you extracted the ZIP file to and click Open:

You should now see the Extension showing up in the extensions list, as well as the extension icon on the top right hand corner of the window:

Now, you just need to click on "Click to Connect" in the Extension to start surfing the web maintaining your privacy:
